The Disney Outlet Store in Branson: The Only Disney Store in Missouri
If you are a fan of all things Disney, St. Louis has … a little. You can find Disney accessories and apparel scattered in various department and big box stores. You can also find more upscale Disney-branded merch, like Loungefly or Jim Shore, at First Capitol Trading in Historic Main Street St. Charles.
But if you want a dedicated Disney store? Disney used to operate a few in St. Louis-area malls, but they’ve all since closed. The House of Mouse operates just a handful of physical stores in the U.S., with only two states — Texas and California — hosting more than one.
By far the nearest currently surviving Disney store is down in southwest Missouri, in the state’s iconic tourist town. We paid it a visit.
Getting There
The Disney Store in Branson is found in the Tanger Outlet Mall Branson on 300 Tanger Blvd. (Google Maps link). Tanger Outlet Mall sits on the Branson Strip. You’ll spot the Outlet sign on West Country 76 Blvd., the main artery of Branson, which runs from Branson Landing in the east all the way out past Silver Dollar City to Branson West. Tanger sits about 2 1/2 miles west of the U.S. 65 interchange.
The Disney Store can be found on the right side of the mall as you enter, between the Nike Store and Merrell Outlet.
It’s about 250 miles (roughly 3 hours and 45 minutes) from St. Louis to Branson’s Disney Store. While you could technically make a day trip out of it, few people in STL do day trips to Branson. More likely, people from The Lou visiting the Disney Store will do so as part of a larger trip to the Branson area.
Parking
Tanger is a U-shaped outlet with a large and spacious parking lot. There’s plenty of parking to be had here, and it’s all free.
Costs and Considerations
Although it’s not 100% clear from the Google Maps information, this is an outlet store, like the other stores in Tanger. What does that mean? It means that you’re going to get a combination of new Disney merch as well as closeout and clearance items. Some items are full-price, while others are quite cheap. Things rotate in and out, so what we show you here and what you might find when you visit the store may be different. In other words, YMMV.
As of mid-2025, the Disney Store’s hours are:
- Sunday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Monday 9 p.m. – 7 p.m.
- Tuesday 9 p.m. – 7 p.m.
- Wednesday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Thursday 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Saturday 9 a.m. – 8 p.m.
It’s always possible the store could be closed on select holidays.
The store takes cash or credit.
We learned at checkout that the Disney Store in Branson does not use plastic bags. The cashier said it is related to the fact that it’s a California-based company. Instead, if you want a bag, you’ll need to pony up a little cash — in 2025, it was $1.25 for a reusable bag. The bag is cool enough, though, that we thought it was worth getting anyway.
Things to Do
Hey, this is Branson. If you didn’t know already, there’s a lot to do in this town, from food, to shows, to food and shows, to Silver Dollar City. There’s also plenty of shopping, like nearby Branson Landing.
Tanger Outlet has plenty of its own shopping to offer. The mall features clothing stores, accessories spots, jewelry retailers, niche products, and an eatery or two. If you’re looking for a Nike store, lululemon, Bath and Body Works, or an A&W restaurant, this outlet has it. It’s also easy to navigate.
Of course, our reason for going to Tanger Outlet was, first and foremost, about the Disney Store. And if you’re going to the Disney Store, you’re going to either browse or buy. There is plenty to see. We found a number of Disney properties represented, including the resorts, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel.
You’ve got apparel of all kinds, mostly Disneyland but also some Disney World.

We discovered a few currently popular Spirit Jerseys.
We were surprised to discover a cache of adult-sized whimsical dresses, even.
And in at least one case, we discovered apparel for a Disney resort that doesn’t even exist anymore.

In the center of the store, we spotted a literal mountain of stuffed animals.
In different parts of the store, we found accessories like towels, cups, and backpacks.
And yes, we did spot a few mouse ear headbands and Loungeflys.
We found cups and mugs, too.
We’re also sad to report that we saw a few of those infernal Bubble Wands.
In the back of the store, we saw several screens playing a rotation of Disney shorts and movie clips, and at the back a glowing register station.
Our Thoughts
To be honest, I wasn’t expecting a whole lot from a Disney outlet. Maybe some cool Disney merchandise, possibly a clearanced item or two. Instead, we found a store that oozed Disney charm, from the cashier who told us to have a magical day, to the bright displays showcasing stuff from all corners of the Disneyverse.
The inventory also proved more interesting and varied than I would have expected. We found all things Disneyland, Disney World, shirts, cups, headbands, towels, stuffed animals, and much more. Some things were full price, while some were discounted at prices well below what we would have expected. I’ve never been to Disneyland, but I thought long and hard about that $10 shirt for the Happiest Place on Earth.
The Disney Store is probably not your main destination in Branson unless you happen to live close. But if you’re, say, a St. Louisan who 1) has Disney nostalgia, maybe from your past Disney vacations and 2) is in Branson to do one of the many things Branson has to offer, then swinging by this store for a few minutes is an easy recommendation. It’s right off the Branson Strip.
