Six Flags St. Louis: The One Meal Dining Deal Explained

When you go to Six Flags St. Louis, you have many options for food.

For instance, you can pack a lunch in a cooler and eat it out in the parking lot. This is, in fact, a time-honored tradition at Six Flags St. Louis. Thanks to the presence of grassy medians — some of them with shade, even — it’s not hard to bring a blanket or a few chairs, and eat your own sandwiches. My family did it decades ago, and you’ll still see people do it today.

You can, of course, also eat in the park. People will do that, too. Six Flags provides no shortage of eateries, from BBQ to Tex-Mex to Americana to Chinese. Want a turkey leg or a giant pickle? Six Flags has those, too.

Six Flags food does cost some money, though. In 2025, a typical meal in the park runs $18-20, not including a drink. Add any sides, or desserts, or snacks, or alcohol — and scale that up for a family of four or more — and the price tag can grow quickly.

An Overview of Dining Plans

Six Flags offers a range of dining plans that may, depending on how you use them, cut down on costs. They include:

  • One Meal Dining Deal. This deal comes with a meal, a snack, and a beverage. In 2025, it costs $22.99.
  • All Day Dining Deal. This deal lets you get a meal of your choice every 90 minutes and comes with an all-day drink bottle. In 2025, it costs $44.99.
  • 2-Meal All-Season Dining Add-On. This plan lets you eat up to two meals each visit. Drinks, snacks, and desserts are not included. In 2025, this plan costs $109.

I want to focus on the One Meal Dining Deal here because we think it’s one of the best values if you want Six Flags food. It comes with a drink, something the All-Season plan doesn’t do. It also comes with enough food to tide most people through the day; we tend to think the All Day Dining Deal is … a lot, especially if you plan to jump on roller coasters into the evening. Most importantly, it has the lowest base cost of the options.

The One Meal Dining Deal is also usually less expensive than buying its components separately. By our math, getting a meal, a snack, and a beverage can run $27-$30, so you save a few dollars with the deal. Looking at it another way, you’re paying for the meal and drink but getting the snack for free. Not too shabby.

Let’s get into some of the details.

How to Get It

It can be helpful to get the One Meal Dining Deal is before you come to the park. Not only does it help to have planned ahead of time, but sometimes the Six Flags site will run specials on the deal. We’ve also seen displays that say you can get them in-park, but we think it helps to dispense with the hassle before coming in.

We like to print out the dining passes and have cashiers scan them that way. However, you can also pull up the email you’ll get for the dining plan purchase and have it scanned from your phone if you prefer.

How to Use It

With the dining deal, you get one meal, one snack, and one beverage. On the menus throughout the park, you’ll see some items with an M and some items with an S. As the display picture above indicates, the M items are meals, while the S items are snacks. Beverages are not marked up on menus but in our experience are usually regular-sized soft drinks. A cashier can tell you for sure.

Of note: a beverage can also be a snack if you decide to go that route later in the day. In other words, if you get a Coke with your lunch (meal + beverage) and decide you want a second Coke in the evening, you can apply your snack to that.

Make sure you pay attention to the menus. Some items that look like snacks are so big they are actually meals. Other items don’t qualify as a snack or meal at all.

The menu from Chop Six. Notice how some items don’t qualify as a meal or snack.

Funnel cakes, for example, don’t qualify. But those big ice cream cones from First Cone do, and as a snack, even. If you hunt around you’ll get the hang of it quickly.

Closing Thoughts

We tend to go the route of packing food in a cooler, because it’s cheaper and usually healthier. But on those occasions when we do eat in the park, we like the One Meal Dining Deal. It cuts down the price on food to the point where you’re basically getting a snack for free, and on occasion a special might drop it down a little below even that. If you’re planning to eat in the park, this is a deal to look at.
